St. Joseph’s played a tough non conference schedule. Very competitive against Houston, Villanova & Temple. Billy Lange, head coach, was an assistant for the sixers & Wrights Villanova team. Yes St. Joes 0-3 in A10 but at home & a coaching advantage I have some concerns. Kudos to Dambrot in regard to his recruiting via the portal but situational basketball I harbor some major concerns. Hopefully, the Dukes come out & overwhelm the Philadelphia Joeys. Go Dukes.

Actually some good insight.  Sounds like Q got benched for bad practices as did Matus in the early A-10 games.  I like both players but Q was not looking sharp the last time out and gunning too much for my liking  - I'm glad he got benched in Richmond.  I hope he's the type of kid who will respond well to that type of coaching.  Matus seems to have done so.

I don't like the way KD skirted the Reece fouls question.   Just tell us what happened?  Who's book?  Did Dukes coaches have the foul count wrong?  Was the foul count wrong at the scorer's table or on the screens?  Unless he was told a different number from the scorer's table than the true number he needs to say, "I can't screw that up - that's on me.  I needed to get Joe out of the game when he has 4 fouls."   Or say. "The refs told me the wrong number."  

Sounds like Tre will be back.  We really missed him in Richmond down the stretch.  When the Dukes can't score for an extended period of time, I want the ball in Tre's hands down low.  For my money, that's our best chance at a basket to break out of a drought.

St Joe's is likely the worst teamin the A-10.  I know it's on the road but if we lose this one we are not a top 7 or 8 team in the league.  Good teams roll into St Joe's gym and blow their doors off.  I was at the St. Joe's game in Philly last year actually.  We can't have a replay of THAT mess.
 

Hopefully we don’t get stuck with a ref who is calling his 2nd D-1 game of the year (like we did at Richmond). Shame on the A-10.

Now stay after them.   If outside goes cold, go inside.  Defense will make this an easy W if they choose to play it.  Klaczeck comes back in after those fouls.   Prepare for their best offering to start 2nd half.

Where is Dixon?

A little ragged in 2nd half but haven't lost any of our advantage so far.

Funny, last two games they played sloppy, undisciplined play at the end of the first half. Tonight, they saved it for hte opening of the second half.

BTW: I just noticed that this is a milestone post for me.  And with that in mind I would just like to say "Hey Cincinnati.............BOOGER!"
