Dukes put away Stonehill but and idiotic lack of self control on 4th down lets Stonhill score 2 TDs in the closing minutes made this victory over a 1-6 team seem close.
Dukes are making a resume to get into the playoffs even if they don’t win the conference and for rankings.  This takes the icing off the cake and may keep the Dukes out of the rankings and off the list for an at large bid.

I didn't get to watch the second half. Were those still starters in during the Q4? I just assumed they had backups getting some reps.

They kinda did but took a real bad penalty on 4th down to give Stonehill a chance at their last two TDs after an onside kick.

I believe that the 5 or 6 teams in front of the Dukes in the polls all won this weekend. Limited chance to move up this week.

The only team outside the top 10 to lose was #15 William & Mary. On one hand the lose was to another ranked team, #24 Stony Brook. On the other hand it was by 22 points. I wouldn’t say I expect the Dukes to jump them, but it wouldn’t be surprising.
Also working in our favor is the two “receiving votes” behind us both lost this week. I think our biggest impediment to moving up might be getting jumped by other teams just outside the rankings. Interestingly, the only ranked team to lose to an unranked team this week was #7 North Dakota, who lost to Youngstown St. There’s basically no chance we jump them, but it certainly makes our win over the Penguins look that much better. I’d be happy to eat my words of a few weeks ago if the Dukes end up ranked tomorrow.

Couldn't help but notice that Bobby Mo is getting votes too. That game is shaping up as a huge one.

Hoping the Dukes handle Mercyhurst comfortably, but the next three are all going to be real tough. We get Wagner and Bobby Mo at home, but the CCSU game is going to probably decide things. They are really good and will be playing at home.
