The team better be ready to play after a division 2 opponent and then a week off. William & Mary might not be world beaters, but they are the kind of team that can make us look very bad if we aren’t ready to go right from the opening tip. The benefit is if we do win it might help our numbers at the end of the season.

FAM, not going to disagree with you this time; I sure was wrong about the Northeastern game .  Let's see if the Dukes can step up defensively as compared to the mess against Northeastern.

Wish I was wrong. We are getting blown out in the first half. It seems like Dru has  adopted the Jim Ferry defense of “Let’s hope they miss.” If things don’t change it’s gonna be a long game. I don’t know if they are faster than us or we are not bright enough to cover them.

What a terrible broadcast, rivaled only by the Dukes play on the court. 

Very impressed by the team’s poise to come back from such a deficit. Now just hang on! 

Not good. But defense takes time.  I think it will improved.  Didn’t get beat with the back door in the second half.  At least not much if at all, I can’t remember.  Mostly disappointed with how sloppy they are with the ball.

The Dukes will never get the benefit of calls if there are no fans in the stands, but this team just looks lazy, slow, and indecisive, Let Necas drive to the hoop all day with aggression, Dixon the same. Less Crawford. Edwards 30 minutes every night. Less Guinyard, more Alex Williams. Hall played well, more Dimichele, and a coach who gets a tee once in awhile to have his teams back. Good lord Dru. Agree. Our lack of cohesiveness on offense and defense cost us the game. That's on the coaches no doubt. Got to find the players who actually defend. Look at plus minuses every game. Cam isn't getting it done. Necas and Edwards need to be playing 30 plus minutes. Dixon as well. Guinyard a bit out of his league right now defensively. Got schooled all night. Hughley way too slow on defense. A 15 minute a night guy. Bring Milosevic into the fold. Guy has energy, size, and a touch. Lot to figure out for Dru.

Crawford has been been useless. Doesn't play any defense and were down 10 after 5 minutes every game.  Edwards and Dixon need to start games. Hughley . Alex Williams, Dimichele, and Cam off the bench. 
 

I agree that the outcome was predictable. I would much prefer to watch and follow a team that plays like W&M than Duquesne.  This Duquesne team isn’t learning, or getting better.  They seem to play in a fog, never identifying the opponents shooters, allowing them to take open threes, sluggish on switchs, leaving open shooters.  On offense, failing to value possessions and committing unforced turnovers.  I see a group of individuals playing for themselves with no common goal.  I don’t see progress, but the same mistakes game after game, with little reason to believe things will change.  The team probably has more talent than last season’s team, but I don’t see it being a factor in the Atlantic10.  Wake me when they actually recognize what it takes to beat a team like W&M.
