Offline A10 Standings in link below Offline Can't remember the last time we even played a decent game against Richmond. Bonnies blasted UMASS on their floor. Offline Al, I am too lazy to look it up but I believe we beat Richmond two years ago. I remember Jerry Jones had a big game. They just lost two key players Williams and Lindsay so who knows. Just saying that if we are going to make a move up this is the part of the schedule to do. Offline We came into February with a 10-9 record and an opportunity to make some noise. We're 0-2 so far in February. I figure we needed to win at least five of our final 10. Now it's five of eight. Otherwise we're heading to another sub-five. I could be wrong, wihich wouldn't be the first time. I think we have a chance to win tomorrow, however. Offline Doesn't look like a promising 5-game stretch to me. But there could be a good atmosphere at Palumbo if they'd ever allow a game to be played there that could sell the place out, instead of moving it to the CONSOL just so they can sell another 300 tickets. Duquesne was not ready for the big time if the 4 big Everhart games were played at Palumbo the Dukes win 3 of 4 . The program could be at another level. When the Penguins staff offered free locker rooms to Pitt their AD said no thanks. The cost to rent vs. the crowd at the Dayton game is another sound economic decision by our AD. Robert Morris budget 1/4 Duquesne with more success. AD @ Robert Morris Dept head at UPMC very impressive. Penn State @ Penn graduate.!!!!! GA ? LOL Offline No, there isn't. Rise up or Sink
The Dukes play three of the next five at home: If the Dukes are going to make a move up this is the part of the schedule where they need to do it.

We did beat Richmond a couple years ago or so, but since they joined the A-10, we have the same chance of beating them as we do beating Pitt.
I don't consider the Dayton game at the CONSOL a home game. There won't be any atmosphere there at all.

Even so, the players are used to Palumbo, & games there are "home" games while games at the CONSOL are not.

Duquesne has kind of evolved into a sort of "hybrid" college basketball program. Unless the game is televised to allow for "the Crew" to mug for the cameras, there is virtually ZERO student support for the team throughout the year. Aging alumni provide the bulk of the attendance and I cannot think of any comparable situation anywhere in the country. Other teams have losing records year after year but still there is some pride in their school's atheletic programs, or at least a fun diversion from the rigors of college studies. I have no answer or solution, just venting my frustration on yet another disappointing year.
