Welcome to SHOO-SHOO, RAH-RAH! The Duquesne Dukes Basketball Fan Message Board!
One of America's Great Message Boards - Any Inappropriate Posts Will Be Deleted!
Offline Not even entertaining. This is Division II talent, poorly coached. Offline El D you will be back this board should be called The Rubber Neckers. Hang in it starts with firing Amodio. New AD time to step up coach. Unfortunately Amodio set this program back 5-7 years. Karma Karma Karma Hail To Pitt go WVU. This program is a joke thanks GA. Very sad to read. We can only hope that this season results in the firing of GA. Sadly that is the only positive that can come of this. Offline Very, very sad. When you alienate diehard fans - and I mean the ones who suffered through The Edgar, Porter, and Née years - something is terribly wrong in the Department of Athletics and possibly (probably) higher up at Duquesne. Offline Penguins lose, Steelers drop out of the playoffs, and the Dukes are not even competitive in the league. Helluva day for this fan. Offline Penguins lose, Steelers drop out of the playoffs, and the Dukes are not even competitive in the league. Helluva day for this fan. This was as bad a weekend as you can get for the local sports fans. Pitt wasn't immune either. The epic loss on Friday, and their hoops team is terrible. Of course they had no trouble with us. There has to be some way to get them to listen to us. How about social media? Offline www.fireamodio.com? www.fireamodio.com? I was thinking something along the line of a Twitter account. I have one and I have tweeted 3 times, so I'm not really Twitter literate. . Last edited by duqkurt (1/04/2015 12:21 pm) Offline www.fireamodio.com? That is something at least Offline EL DUQUE - WE COULD ALL QUIT - Please don't. That would make it so easy on the AD and coach. Write a letter/email the athletic director - the President and the Sports Writers. If everyone does this we will see something happen at the end of the year. BTW, I decided to not go to the game Wednesday night...I figure the attendance may be a little up because of the St. Joe's fans but they aren't going to pad things with my attendance. This is Division II talent, poorly coached. Seriously, Offline Not even entertaining. This is Division II talent, poorly coached. Seriously, There are two of us left, but he'll get sucked back in. We're gluttons for punishment. You know it's bad when even the Yuku board has turned negative.
Enough for me
To those who touted this as "a program being built brick by brick," you have been sold a bill of goods by the athletic director and the $600K disaster he hired. You will never see a winning program again, until the whole thing is dismantled. I wouldn't even drop to a so-called "lesser" conference, since we can't beat those schools either.
I always thought the biggest disaster in Duquesne basketball history was Colleary moving the program to the MCC.
Despite what anyone wants to say about Everhart, and I won't be back to read any of it, the biggest disaster in Duquesne basketball history was the firing of Everhart and the hiring of Ferry.
Ship be sinking. Get out while you can. Me? I'm outta here.

Getting rid of that horse's ass would go a long way in boostering the hopes of the faithful.

Nothing that says Fire GA directly. But something to let the administration know the remaining fan base is just not happy with the current athletic administration.
I'm also going to call the Presidents office tomorrow, for the little that will be worth.

Seriously, you can't quit, you are in charge of the Board! That would be like MacArthur quitting after getting routed from the Phillipines in WWII.

How can you quit when you run the board?
