Duquesne Dukes Fan Forum / Parking garage is a nightmare

Can the DU administration fix the way that parking garage works? Back about 10 plus years ago, you paid at the booth entering the event, then the gates at the exit were open and every car just drove out fast, but now, it's madness to go through what it takes to get out of there. Worse, they pay an attendant to help all the cars at the gate that have ticket problems so it's not like they are saving a buck here? I like going to the games, but the hassle of that parking garage is a nightmare and makes it less appealing to attend games. They should really fix it.

You are correct. This is very poorly done, will only get worse with greater fan support, & is a nuisance to casual fans & die hards alike.

That's why I park on the lowest level possible and leave the game as soon as possible to not be stuck in that nightmare. The alternative is to stick around the arena for 30-45 minutes or so and then leave.

I park in the Manor Building garage where my office is. It's a bit of a walk but not really too bad. Think it's something like $5 after 4:30. Just an 8-minute walk from there. At least I avoid all the mayhem in the DU garage. If there's a Pen's game though, all bets are off!! Rate is event rate and lots of traffic then.
