Track & Field Coach Lear explains to the average viewer the difference between the indoor and outdoor seasons. How do the cross country runners make the transition? How competitive is the men's club team allowed to be? Maybe shed some light on why the men can't have their indoor season be varsity. That can help our ongoing Title IX discussions.Who are the next tracksters to make the Duquesne Sports HOF? Jim Spisak? 2005 men's cross country team?
Lets Go Dukes !!!

Good episode guys! Much improved over early shows. I enjoyed the all-time list discussions. The Men’s List is pretty much a done deal with Ricketts and Green being multiple first team All-Americans and both being the first player chosen in the NBA Draft. Chuck Cooper All-American first team and historic NBA draft pick also a must. Willie Somerset also a must include Duke along with Norm Nixon. If you chose a top ten, you could generate a lot of discussion on the next five. So many great players like Jim Tucker, Paul Birch, Cumberland Posey, and others who we never saw.
Kore Hlede certainly the greatest Duke of all-time on the women’s side actually scored over 2600 points at Duquesne meaning that she outscored the next highest scorer Candace Futrell by almost 1000 points! She was not surrounded with the kind of talent that we have seen since the McConnell -Burt years. She was a complete player and a super passer who could really put on a show with her ball-handling, fancy passing and shooting. The “Magic Johnson” of Duquesne basketball, but she was a better shooter than Magic!
I also wanted to mention a few other women who deserve mention among the greatest women Dukes. Futrell was mentioned earlier, but a very athletic scorer who scored at all levels. Darcie Vincent who also was a great scorer and became a successful college coach as well. Alex Gensler, P. Spurlock round out the top five scorers. Beth Friday was an incredibly skilled and smart Post Player. One of the best I’ve seen.
There are many others who deserve mention. Let me check some names that have slipped my mind.

Lionel Billingy, Derrick Alston, Rick Suder, Ruben Montanez, Oscar Jackson, BB Flenory, the Nelson brothers, Mickey Davis, Mike James, Ajax, Jimmy, Dae Dae, and so many more. John Moore and Bruce Atkins were among my all time favorites.
