She is the best player on her team, and it is not unusual for her to be the one taking a high number of shots, especially from deep. I remember when Gina Naccarato was a high school player and she was the same, shotting the majority of the shots by her team, but from my recollection a lot of her points came on layups because her team forced so many turnovers. When Naccarato got to Duquesne she played more point guard and was more of a distributor than a gunner like high school.
At the next level, I expect Bordas to be a combo guard who will provide a deadly outside shooter on the perimeter.
As for the unknown player from Senegal, if she is indeed 6-6, I hope we take advantage of her size and develop her overall game. I like that she is supposed to be a great shooter, but if she's going to be out on the perimter and not playing foul line in, then we will waste her size.
Until I see the full roster for next year, with these "additional" players, I fully expect us to have a losing season. From the little playing time she got this year, I am encouraged by Fatou Sane as she has the perfect build to play the 4. If -- and this is a big IF, the coaching staff can develop her game, get her to move sided to side on the block and work on getting to the right angles when she shoots, she will be a force inside. Her offensive game was impressive for the little time she got, especially after she was regarded more of a defensive player coming in.
My concern is Burt's inability to put the best talent on the floor - his substitution and use of players in-game is extremely questionnable.
