Recently cleared to play for the first time since the early spring, it was good to see Friery back on the court with his Phenom United 16 U squad. Making his biggest impact with his length and ability to put the ball on the floor, Friery scored most of his points in transition. Outrunning other forwards down the court, Friery got some easy buckets on the fast break. The shooting wasn’t really there as he’s still getting back up to speed but that should be back in no time. A high upside 2025 prospect, Friery will likely see a boost in his recruitment during the winter after missing most of the top recruiting time in the summer due to injury.

Friery is one of the most intriguing long-term prospects and after a slow start to his sophomore season he’s really hit his stride. His performance in a win over STVM was impressive and all the flashes you wanted to see from him were on display. Friery has grown recently and is one of the youngest players in the 2025 class. I believe Friery will attract high major offers and has a shot to be nationally ranked by his senior season.

He is currently rated as the #4 overall recruit & #2 PF in Ohio's 2025 class
