Pretty good schedule. Cleary is Carl Thomas's team.

The non conference schedule has some solid opponents, I like it other than playing an NAIA school the game before conference play. What is the value in that?? Cleary University's head coach is Carl Thomas, so I know why we chose to play them but I would understand it more if it was the first or second game of the season. not kicking off the most intense time of the year.

And we play on THE ESPN THREE TIMES! TWo games are away: vs. SBU and Fordham. One home vs. Dayton.

I don't know. Get the team back together after Xmas, shake off a little rust. It could have been worse.

Bart Torvik creates a team projection for 2024 based on returning players, players, added, etc. etc.  I don't know how valid this is as a predictor, but Bart does put some advanced statistical basketball knowledge to work in his ongoing ankings.  Right now, it's the best I have at hand for now; use it as a point of reference.

He has the Dukes ranked #56.  Here are the rankings for our non conference opponents:
48 - Nebraska
87 - UC Irvine
88 - Charleston
114 - Bradley
135 - Princeton
143 - Marshall
171 - Cleveland State
192 - Santa Clara
225 - Stony Brook
235 - Rider
298 - Saint Peter's
314 - Chicago State
N/A - Cleary (NAIA)

Wow. 56 is a pretty good starting point for the Dukes. Only upward!

Thanks Phoenix.  November is a big month for us with the three top 100 non-conference teams.  I sure hope we are at full strength.  Has anyone heard if Barre has been cleared to practice?

Dukes would have to win 27-28 games to have a shot at a at large bid.The out of conference schedule is ok.
The A10 just doesnt have enough quality teams and is a 1 and at best a 2 team conference for NCAA invites.

This was fun. Credit where it's due, nice to see the social media folks stepping up a bit. This was on Instagram, as well. Looks like some neat personalities on this team. Run with it.

I thought the segment with the players cracking jokes was super cool!!  The kids look to be having fun.  I am excited for the season and I'll start another thread with some questions for everyone.  Wildwood good seeing you down at Rivers!!!

The national TV games are great, but should we still expect ESPN+ to carrying all or most other games?

That is a good question. According to this schedule that Zach Weiss tweeted all of our home games are either on TV or streaming on ESPN+
There are however several away games that show neither. I sure hope this is an oversight.

I'm sure a lot of those road games will default to ESPN+ if no one else jumps in.

Thanks CLK.  Yes, only makes sense that ESPN+ will cover them all if they had every game of that horrific 21-22 season.
