Duquesne Dukes Fan Forum / The grade school kids playing basketball at half-time is a nice move

At Half-Time, DU brought in some rec BB teams to play each other. Smart move. They filled up the seats behind the opposite basket from our students. They got on the Big screen TV a lot, and they were very jazzed about being there.DU is building a future fan base with that kind of move. Good move. Also, and I hope it wasn't a just once thing, but the garage gate was open after the game so everyone just drove out of the parking lot. Good move if it's an ongoing thing.

Agreed. Would love to see it become a more regular occurrence!

While it DOES help build the Fan Base it is one of the Options Available to Organizations/Schools -- I too wondered why it did not happen at more games and how the teams might be selected. A MINIMUM of 40 tickets must be purchased - Must be 6th grade or lower. Group (s) obviously get the discount that applies to purchases of 10 or more. They get 6 minutes of court time.
