Dukes getting more ranking votes.
Traveling to Loretto as 3.5 favorites.

Whoops, underestimated by the prognosticators again.

I didn’t see any of it because of extended technical difficulties with ESPN+. Looking at the box score though, it looks like a good win. The defense dominated again, not allowing a single 3rd or 4th down conversion. The offensive numbers don’t look good, but the 38 points are 21 more than 1-A Kent St. scored against them. Additionally, two teams ahead of us in the receiving votes are in danger of losing. Lafayette got shutout by Georgetown and Butler is losing late to Drake. Perhaps I was a little too pessimistic a few weeks ago.

It's AMAZING that you COULD find a line on the game.  Wouldn't think too many bookies would be accepting wagers on a Duquesne-St Francis FOOTBALL game!!!!!!!

There was a "similar" technical problem last week that lasted for the first half...Hoping when hoops season comes around the glitches won't be following the Dukes.

Last week was NEC Front Row and the Dukes team. This week was ESPN+s NEC Game of the Week and wasn’t Duquesne broadcasters. I’m sure it’s a separate issue.

Dukes are beating the spreads in every game other than the FBS games and have an even better season going than last year with their first win over YSU.

Gotta avoid the slip up games.

With the way we’re playing right now I’d prefer the bye be at just about any other point in the season. Having said that, I absolutely agree with your last sentence. A bye followed by a (seemingly) easy opponent is often a recipe for disaster.

The way our schedule is set up (very likely not coincidentally) first through fourth in the conference are us and our last three opponents. Lose either of the next two and those games don’t mean nearly as much. Hopefully both the players and coaches are able to maintain focus next week. If we play to our ability the next two shouldn’t even be close; but let complacency set in and anything can happen.
