Very interested to see how today goes.  2 weeks ago I would have thought this game was unwinnable but now I expect a W.  Going on the road in the A-10 is ALWAYS tough but Davidson is not Dayton or VCU or Richmond.  If this team is going to steal a couple road wins this season, today has to be one of them.  Keep playing that defense and it’s likely.  This new Davidson coach doesn’t impress me enough to think he’ll be able to devise a strategy to break us down (a better coach will find an answer and Dru will have to adapt - this guy ain’t it though.)  I’m excited to see how this team plays on the road in A-10.  I like the schedule and this being our first road show.

I agree. Although Davidson's record is 10-4, their wins were from lesser teams and 4 losses against decent teams. The way the Dukes are playing now works very well on the road. They do not depend on anyone scorer and defense is getting stronger with each game.

No Necas - wonder if he suffered a concussion from last game

Playing well early - great ball movement

That was my thought too. Hope he's alright.

Half up by 4. Could have been more, but at least it looks like we can play this team. Let's hope coach cleans up some stuff at half and get this win. Driving in the paint has payed off so far.

Hope Necas is OK. Think Edwards has been great and should get more minutes in the 2nd half. Hopefully, Dinkins will find his shot as well and that refs don't decide this one as they so many times on the A-10 road in the past. Go Dukes!

These are the most out of shape refs i've ever seen. Total embarrassment. They can't keep up with a half court game to save their lives.

We're starting to realize Necas is the most important part of this team. Just a bummer.

Wow two games in a row our opponent gets a T called against them for hitting the backboard on a dunk. Dumb move. Hope this can be the turnaround.

No points from our point guards, Dinkins and Rozier. You can’t win A10 games with dismal guard play.

As bad as the Dukes played the three white 60 year old out of shape refs decided this one. NO DOUBT about that (profanity).

If I was Dixon i'd get the hell out of this league. Dude never gets the benefit of a call.

Necas was clearly missed. It looked like we stopped driving the paint in the second half. Those ally oop passes from pentation just disappeared in the second half. Still close game. Can't win them all. Regroup.

It's certainly disappointing to see the win streak end, but I still like the "new team" we've seen since the trip to Akron. Injuries are starting to add up though. Normally I'd question the strength and conditioning staff, but a lot of them have seemed like fluke injuries.

We definitely saw today how important Necas is. He might not put up big numbers, but he could be our most important player. Especially against a team like Davidson, his defensive versatility could have been the difference.

I was surprised to see Dixon get the start, especially after Dru's comments about him wanting to come off the bench. Obviously with Necas out someone had to start that hasn't been, and I like to see two big men in the lineup, but it was a surprise to see it for the first time against a team that spreads the floor like Davidson. Had I only been looking at the box score, I'd be sure it was a mistake, but he avoided foul trouble until late in the second half.

Davidson is a tough place to play and has always been a tough matchup for us, but this loss makes the St. Joe's game a big one for us. Returning home and having a full week off afterwards hopefully allows everyone to get healthy, but losing two in a row could have the team questioning if they're sliding back into the form we saw early on.

If I recall, I don't think that was Dixon who asked not to start, but I could be wrong.
Go Dukes!

I'm afraid this game will take us a step or two back before we get our footing if we do. Necas is the GLUE to this team both defensively as well as the offense. Teams don't know how to guard him, and he and Hronsky work so well together. Hoping he gets back real soon.

It was Dixon who went to DJ3 and said put me on the bench. In this case you need discipline and consistency, though the fouls piled up down the stretch, starting him today, especially given Necas being out was absolutely the correct call.

Unfortunately most of those fouls were total BS especially when he had the clean block against Bailey when it was 67-63. That decided the game basically. Those old slow 60 year old refs just couldn't keep up with the play. The A-10 has to do some real due diligence on their refereeing crews no doubt. It's a total embarrassment. Just ask Dru. He'd think the same.

Ask him about the refs in the next press conference. I know he's pissed about them.

Am I alone here in my thinking that this game was totally taken away from us by the refereeing or are all you folks so used to it that you don't care anymore. This was the worst refereed game I've seen in my 50 years of a fan and you are all just crickets. (profanity) man we are the defending A-10 champions and still getting NO respect. I'm not complacent. I want the Dukes to thrive. I've been on the A-10 sight complaining about the refs, the A-10 Twitter BS sight, emailed the A-10 commissioner, emailed Harper. Got to keep these clowns responsible and that we see them.

He was asked postgame by Ray Goss on the radio, he downplayed it and said we will eventually get those calls. If they say too much on the officials they get fined by the A-10.
