There is an event called the Lilly Women's College All Star Game Saturday April 5 at 3PM on ESPN2 - Megan was one if twenty players selected to participate.  CONGRATULATIONS to her.

There are only 4 players outside of the Power 4 conferences selected to play. Nice opportunity for Meg.

My favorite thing about the broadcast was when the announcers were talking about what attributes Megan would bring to her team when she gets to the WNBA.  Not if she makes the league, or can she make the league, but what she'll do when she gets there.  I don't recall who the women were that were speaking, but I do know they were former WNBA players who were very high in their praise.

I’ve seen some projections that have her going top of the third round. Hope she makes it.

Finally got to watch some of the game with Meg.  I will agree, there were a lot of positive comments about Meg that really stood out to me.  Given the commentators were watching the events leading up to the game, including the combine, tells me that Meg was a surprise standout.

I think she may very well be someone who makes the WNBA in 2-3 years, unless she can get to a team that sees her as a fit for their organization.  The WNBA doesn't have a minor league like the NBA does, so a lot of the players go the international route.  I think this is perfect for Meg - she can sign a professional contract and continue to work on her game.

Also, want to point out that Terri Mitchell was seated behind Nancy Lieberman during the game.  Terri is a former Duquesne basketball player who I got to know very well during her time at Duquesne as she was a year ahead of me in school.  Terri has accomplished great things post Duquesne and I am a little disappointed that she doesn't seem to be engaged with the current women's team.  I have my own thoughts on this, but Terri is a great coach who would be an asset to any school that hires her.  I think her time at Pitt was more of a failure on Lance White's ability than anything and shouldn't be a stain on her.  I see Terri as the perfect complement to a head coach, similar to Chris Dailey at Uconn.
