Van Bussel looks overmatched. He’s a liability out there. Need Hugley on the court and he needs to stay out of foul trouble.

Cam Crawford is bringing zero to the table right now. Need more Edwards. When Hall came in the Dukes went up 6 and then down 2. Where is Alex Williams? Dixon, Hugley, and Necas combined for nothing and still only down ten. Much more Aekins as well.

Van Bussell really coach . Killed the Dukes. Not suprised Dixon Hugley & Jacob foul trouble. Remember Nebraska tournament. Dukes will do well this year. But cmon Coach go small pretty evident.

Hugley's fouls early was the difference in this game. Can't score if you are sitting on the bench. Aekins was too fast for them and seemed to score at will. I would have expected him to stay in there longer. All these big have got to stop the fouling the drive to the hoop when they are beat to the hoop. Villanova got the points anyways plus the foul shot and got all of our bigs an early bench. This game does prove we can play with the top teams. On a different night, with less fouls, the score could be the other way.

Guinyard had himself a game tonight. Ref's musta got a call at halftime to not make it look so obvious. Good chance we won't play a better team the rest of the year.

The remote radio broadcast is terrible,the colorman seemed so bored I thought he was going to fall asleep.
Technical problems created a lot of on air silence thoughout. the broadcast.It would be a lot better to send the guys out on the road to tell you what was really going on and create some excitement

Why weren't they on the road? It's a game on the other side of this state??!! Bush leage for a league like the A-10!

Agreed I know that the refs mission was to take the Duke's big men put of the game but this guy is killing listenership, viewership and who would want to go to a Duquesne game if the announcer show obvious bordom?

He was even affecting Ray's call of the game.

Also agree that we could run with them and must make plans for a smaller lineup if this happens again. Four guards and rotate Dixon, Hugley, and Neces. They didn't look to go inside at all anyway.

Going into last night's game Duquesne was averaging 26 personal fouls per game. You expect home cooking on the road, but let's be honest these early games have shown us that Duquesne has a problem playing exclusive man defense without fouling. The Dukes played a few minutes of zone last night for the first time I saw all season, maybe mix it up with more of that. Dru needs to figure it out

Having said that, the non conference is the time to identify problems and weaknesses and fix them. I feel confident that Dru & staff will. I still believe this team has the talent & depth to be great & make it back to the big dance with some tweaking. Go Dukes 🏀

Per the announcers on TV: Duquesne is the second most penalized team in the USA!
Per me 🤣🤣-Duquesne is not a top 50 team

I was pleased by their competitiveness, they never gave up, and I never thought they were totally out of it. I enjoyed the game.
