As of the end of the 2025 season, the Duquesne University football program records an all-time overall record of 427–322–18 (.568).The program's first team was started by Dan Barr as player/coach in 1891 with a 3-0-1 record.
Duquesne's record as documented by highly respected sources such as the College Football Data Warehouse and verified by newspapers of the 1800's is actually 516-362-28 (.585) or 58.5%.  Many of the most successful early year’s records are not included such as Coach Earnest “ Rags” Brown’s 12-1 1886 team.

Granted the team played at the club level all the up to the AP Ranked Top 20 Nationally but other programs count all levels too.

Not many programs can boast over 500 wins with a winning % of .585!!

Something should be done to honor all of the present and past players, coaches and fans of the program's 500th win at the beginning of this upcoming football season!

Interesting.  Have the Dukes ever faced a service academy or is their opening game next year at Air Force the first?

They have a tough first three games again with Air Force, YSU and Washington State.

According to the Duquesne record book (https://goduquesne.com/documents/2024/7/31/DUQ_FB_Record_Book_-_7.31.24.pdf), the Dukes defeated Lakehurst Navy (https://www.navair.navy.mil/location/lakehurst) 13-0 in 1942 and Virginia Military Institute (https://www.vmi.edu/) 57-31 in 2000 and 41-18 in 2001.

I only see those three service-related opponents.
