I’m a little surprised that Bordas is in the Portal.  Anyone have insight into the decision?  Are her skills such that she can play at a higher level, same level or lower level?

Levon:  On 2/20/23 There was an article on the FIRST page of the PG --  NOT the first page of the Sports Section..The first page of the paper itself..  Megan and Tess were roommates from day 1..Why not enjoy one last year together??

Tess goes into the portal to finish her career at Wisconsin. can't say I blame her nice to get some/more $$ to play basketball.

Since the offense was built around Alexis, can't see her going down in level but that could teach us when it comes to NEVER take ANYTHING for granted and EACH YEAR you have to re-recruit YOUR ENTIRE ROSTER.. She can play (a lower role) at a higher level..  You can NEVER have too many shooters but instead of 30MPG it could be 10-20MPG.

Also on the Men's side the A-10 was ranked as the 6th best conference.. Don't know how high the Women are as a whole but it is probably somewhat lower..  So could be difficult to see if a player is "dropping down" or "moving up"

After reading she was pre med, or med school, and DU having the med school, I thought she would stay here, but she can also cash in right now and get some good money(which I thought her family wouldnt have needed to begin with).   Maybe she just didnt like playing for a bad coach on an awful team?

Can't blame Alexis for wanting to jump ship from this team. They were abysmal for 95% of the season, through no fault of her own.

Seems like an odd transfer for Blackford from Duquesne to RMU.  Duquesne definitely needed to get more athletic at guard and forward.

Buddy of mine from WVa who knows that family said that was always the plan, she always wanted to go to WVU, and a year at Duquesne was her "tryout".   IDK about all that, she was WVa HS POY 2x I think, they should have taken her out of HS, but maybe wanted to see her in D1 first.

Is there a push from the school to recruit foreign players?   5 of 13 players are from the US.   Thats gotta be some kind of record for a school, at any level.

Bit of a Head Scratcher that the "roster is FINALIZED "at 13.

Most teams will use an 8-9 player rotation.  With injuries you are perhaps looking at perhaps 11 players to cover the rotation.

One of the points frequently made last year was that DU was the YOUNGEST team in the A-10 - Yet 5 of the 7 newcomers (I'm including the one from Senegal who redshirted last year) will be playing NCAA basketball for the FIRST time.  ALL of these from foreign countries as Townson mentioned.

While NOT advocating to "sign someone just to sign someone"  I find it difficult to believe another experienced player or two that would  have been capable of playing some at this level were not brought in.
