Get back on the good foot.   Get that W tonight.  Dont let off the gas if you are cruising along, like vs Queens.   Keep it floored.

Other games tonight include Villanova at Lasalle, which will be interesting to compare ourselves to, and Dayton at Marquette.

This team has no killer instinct. Just like the Queens game, no reason at all for this game to be close, yet it is.

Dukes should wear them down 2nd half. This team very deep. Go Dukes

Now this is what I’m talking about. No reason for this not to be an easy 20+ point victory

Love the post game interview with coach Dru on the plus. I know you are old miserable haters in regard to Ellis Cannon but he noted that Necas was a plus 35 on the court. Love the hockey analysis. Necas is soooo unselfish. What a great game. Go Dukes.

I find it interesting that Bus, Hall, Milosevic, Aikens, Max, & Alex got so little run tonight.  Seemed deliberate to get a hard look at the starters + Dixon, and to give them extra reps.

Great point. Necas needs to be playing 30 to 35 minutes a game. The best defender among many non defenders. Need DiMichele back as well to set an example on how to play defense. Thought Dixon would have stepped up, but just a foul machine at this point. Dudes have got to step it up defensively big time. (profanity) Dayton just beat Marquette on the road.  You can't tell me Dayton is more talented top to bottom than the Dukes, Lets go already.

Not to be Debbie Downer, but our guards, for all their skills, cannot feed the post. Last year, Dixon got three or more slams on lobs.  Now they don’t see him, or looking for him isn’t in their basketball lexicon. I saw from several thousand miles away-/there it is!  Nada. And why Necas doesn’t play with more aggression?  He rarely gets the ball in scoring position. Just one hand off after another. Duquesne has a professional point guard as head coach , why can’t the guards hit the post? This is pivotal to winning on a higher level.

Our feeds to the post are too easy to defend. They are mostly from a stationary player and he usually just telegraphs that it's coming. Too easy to defend. I'd like to see some feeds off of a drive at the top of the lane to a alley-oop pass to our bigs sometimes. It would drawl the defender off our Bigs and we get so big-time dunks out of it.

Feeding the post is not a common & fundamental skill today's players come to college with. There is simply not enough emphasis on all facets of offensive post play right now to force guards to master this once essential skill.

Having written that, last night's game featured at least 5 skillfull post feeds that led directly to baskets for the Dukes. Check out the highlights on ESPN. 4 of the 5 buckets shown are off post feeds of different kinds. From that, you would think it was the 2001 Lakers feeding Shaq.

I can't understand how the 4-5 reporters at Dru's post-game presser all failed to ask a specific question about Jake's availability & return to the court.

Cam having a strong game should be a step in the right direction for rounding out the team's offensive options. If he produces like he did over the last dozen games last season, the Dukes will be a very difficult team to guard.
