Offline Dukes to host Chatham next Wednesday. Proceeds to Hurricane relief. Offline I was thinking about seeing Holly Bowling play piano at the Rex Theater that night, but I'm not missing my first chance to see Keith Dambrot's Dukes! Offline Chatham?? Offline Chatham?? I wonder if this falls under some exception because it is for charity, or if one of the two scrimmages they had scheduled fell through at the last minute? I wonder if this falls under some exception because it is for charity, or if one of the two scrimmages they had scheduled fell through at the last minute? I think you are right, CLK, that one of the two scrimmages fell through. I'm guessing it was the Canisius scrimmage that was scheduled for Saturday 10/28. Reason is that Canisius announced a charity game against Colgate today; same day as the Dukes. Offline Well, just ignore the above post. It appears that the NCAA has approved an additional charity exhibition game per this article: Offline Chatham?? I guess NW Squirrel Hill Community College wasn't available. Offline There are a lot of WPIAL kids on their roster so it may help a little with attendance. Offline Playing anyone but yourself in practice is always a plus in days leading up to first regular season game, might be fun to watch. Offline Exhibition game fellas. Doesn't count for anything. Chance for the kids to see different faces on the court. Offline Exhibition game fellas. Doesn't count for anything. Chance for the kids to see different faces on the court. I agree my friend, unless you happen to get your rear end spanked by a highly frosted cupcake. I saw last night where high and mighty VCU lost to Liberty by 10 which has to call into question their touted defense. Offline Exhibition game fellas. Doesn't count for anything. Offline Free parking has to be a first !!! Offline Chatham? Men or women? Why would anyone go to this? Offline Why would anyone go? How about the fact that a lot of Dukes fans are anxious to see Dambrot’s team do anything. And maybe at the same time help out an important charitable cause. Quite simple, really Offline Same reason why fans went to see Kentucky play Thomas More. Last edited by Somerset24 (10/29/2017 2:46 pm) Offline Pretty sure Pitt is playing Slippery Rock in one of those benefit type games Offline You’re right, Al. Saturday Nov. 4 at 2 pm. Why would anyone go to that ? LOL Offline You can ALWAYS count on "rd" to go negative. My wife & I will be there, not only to see the KD Dukes, but to support the charity effort involved. Hope to see many of you there. We don't expect the "negative nanny" to be there though. Maybe he/she plans to go to the Pitt event. Oh, I don't recall seeing that they're having one. If they do, I'm sure they hope more of their "fans" attend than go to their football games. Tell ya what. You go and I'll just write a check. Excuse me if I miss this 150-60 blowout. Offline That’s generous but which team do you think will get 150? Offline Looking forward to tomorrow night's game. Hoping for a decent crowd since it is the first game under Keith Dambrot and staff. The score is not important here. It is a chance to play a game against some new faces. Will tell us a bit more about style of play and how players will be utilized. Of course, with 2 bigs out, we won't see the complete picture yet. Hoping Brown might be ready to suit up and play a bit by opening game. Offline I know it's an exhibition game, but represent, friends. Offline Article from Scott Elliott of PSN regarding tonight’s exhibition, plus injury notes and referenced to the secret scrimmage vs. Canisius. Offline Bad news that Chas Brown is not expected to play until early December. Makes it a real challenge to put a team on the court. Shades of the Iron Dukes!! Might not make a difference in some of the upcoming games but RMU and Pitt will be a bigger challenge than they might have originally appeared. Ken Pom does have Pitt at #121 which seems to have surprised lots of Pitt fans who are expecting the worst from the team and Stallings this year.
