In other news. Curse could be reversed Sunday...
Womens lax is in A10 Championship game after beating Temple 10-6. I think they will play the winner of UMass and Richmond. Game is on Sunday.

They are holding their own in the early part of the game. 1-1. Nice to hear the DU Fight Song after the first goal. There are actually people their rooting for Duquesne.

Keep in mind guys that the Dukes lost to this UMASS team by 10 goals last week in the regular season; so it was great for them to get to the final but they were a heavy underdog; so let's not be too rough on the post-game comments.

They played well for the first half. Gave it their all.

They played well for the first half. Gave it their all.
The annoucers were pretty complimentary to Duquesne during the broadcast. They did on a few occasions mention how many years it has been since any Duquesne team played in a NCAA Tournament. Ouch!
UMass was just too much to deal with in the second half. The Dukes went down fighting. Seems like the Dukes will return many good players for next season.

What I heard the broadcaster say was: "No Duquesne sports team except for Men's basketball has ever made the NCAA tournament, and the last time that happened was 36 years ago."
Most of on this Board realize how horrible Duquesne athletics has been, but it was still pretty pathetic to hear it said on national TV.
