St. Louis gameday

Why do I have the feeling that we are going to be sacrificed to the basketball "gods" on national TV tonight solely for the purpose of helping the Billikens gain a good seed in the NCAA Tournament? Is Rick Majerus on that committee now? I'm guessing that the punishment for playing them close at our place will be our worst -- spread-wise -- loss of the season. Not that we haven't had some ugly losses, because we surely have. Another night of Colter hoisting at will ... someone please tell Ferry that this is not the meaning of "building a program brick by brick." St. Louis, 79-44.

Re: St. Louis gameday

El D,

Sadly I think you are right, this team by reading Des remarks to a new recruit, " We are young but we have been close in a lot of games " to me means the coaches are spouting this line. Why not tell them close means nothing but a loss and close out, hold leads, pass wisely and pass up threes when others are wide open. I know Soko can score but with the triple teams on him he should be avg 5-6 assists a game and also keep the defense honest on him.

I will try to watch it until it gets ugly.

Duquesne's 2-32 record against ranked opponents since Feb. 20, 1997, including 0-18 on the road.  Nice Stat.  Do some of you still think we have a program??????????????????

Dukes up by 1 at about 4 min mark in first half, both teams good defense, both teams cold but Mason but he is on bench with 2 pf, white made 2 treys.

29-25 SLU, Soko has become our three point shooter, but has not made any yet, 3 for 10 first half with 6 points.

Re: St. Louis gameday

Anyone think these announcers are off on the foul calls? They called the one on Loe questionable, but even with his legs out of the frame you could see he was moving his feet. Then they looked for one on Loe's missed dunk ... from who? They seem to be rooting for "SLU."

Re: St. Louis gameday

Unbelievable. GREAT GAME!

This was the Jerry Jones I expected to see these past two years.

This one game takes away a lot of the pain we've had.

Re: St. Louis gameday

The one advantage to being a bad program is that there is no pressure and other teams tend to overlook you. Sure that was a major issue with Saint Louis tonight. Unbelievable.

St. Louis was lucky to get out of Palumbo with a win earlier in the year.

Yet this never seemed to help us even one time during the last 40 years. Enjoy being miserable tonight. I'm sure not!!!
