     Thanks for the link, it is an interesting article.  I doubt the team will have time to visit the exhibit while in NY; but it would be a good history lesson.

    Cum Posey Jr. was a very impressive man, but Cum Posey Sr. was even more impressive than his son.

    Thanks for posting the article. I did not know there was a black professional basketball league. All of the press in Pittsburgh has always been about the baseball league. Great article. I would like to see the exhibit become a traveling exhibit.

    Right you are, duq81.  I learned about Captain Posey some years ago when reading about his son.  I was disappointed that he wasn't mentioned in the History Channel's Men Who Built America series when they examined Andrew Carnegie.  Here's a link to a short biography of this fascinating man for those who may like to learn more about him.

    A very informative article, about a man who achieved so much in life.  I agree, that it is surprising that we don't read or hear more about Cumberland Posey Sr.
