Current Standings in Women's A-10
Here are the standings of the A-10 women's basketball as of early evening. This afternoon GW pummeled Fordham, 83-65; the Bonnies tamed Davidson, 72-56; and St. Joe's edged Richmond, 61-59. The only remaining A-10 women's game today, George Mason at St. Louis, won't be played until 8 pm.
Should the Dukes win one more game, including Rhode Island on Sunday afternoon at the Palumbo at 2 pm, they will secure at least a 3rd place finish in the A-10. Even if the Dukes lose two of the remaining games, which seems very unlikely, they would end up with a conference record of 11-5. Should Fordham finish its season with two wins, it would also have an 11-5 record. In that scenario, the Dukes would receive the higher seeding over Fordham because of the Dukes' win over Fordham earlier in the season.
Should the Dukes be seeded in 3rd place, their first A-10 tournament game would be played at the quarterfinals on Friday, March 6 at 7 pm.
