There's virtually no information on the players they faced ... some type of all-star team from this league.

The Dukes have added a game against the Neptune Basketball Club in Cork on Saturday at 4:45 p.m. (11:45 a.m. ET).

Average height 6'2", average age 28.75.

Small front line. Need to dominate them.

Re: Dukes win opener in Ireland

I thought that was Duquesne's lineup we were talking about. Seriously, we play a cupcake non-con, now we're scouring the world for cupcake tours. Someone tell me again why I should care?

Re: Dukes win opener in Ireland

Did Micah Mason make this trip?  I haven't seen his name in the game recaps, nor seen him in any pictures on the Dukes website.

Inferior teams need to be smashed. That's not a bad sign.

Re: Dukes win opener in Ireland

Again, while the competition is suspect, I like the fact that the Dukes are putting these teams away. Last year, we weren't impressive even against Shippensburg, only winning by 3 at Palumbo. Tomorrow will be the third game in 3 days. Hope we're not tired.

Actually I don't suspect this is any competition at all.

There's been some speculation about the posssible absence of Micah Mason from the Dukes on their tour of Ireland. I sent Phil Racicot, Interim AD, an e-mail and asked him about Micah's status.  Here's Phil's reply:

"Micah is fine but was unable to make the trip for personal/family reasons.  He had a good summer and will be ready to start the school year when classes begin in a couple of weeks."

Re: Dukes win opener in Ireland

Wouldn't you love to see him play in the paint? He'd be unstoppable.

Instead, he'll be launching ill-advised threes all year.

Remember, Micah has to eat a special diet, I doubt he could take the food with him internationally.
This is a full time thing, not a matter of choice eating this way. I am sure that they make plans for him during road games back home.
