A-10 Conference Schedule Finalized

No Conference Games at the Consol. National TV games are Pitt at Consol 12/4, Dayton at AJP 1/2, and Davidson at AJP 2/6.

Giving up the season tickets this year but there's a decent amount of games on t.v.

Re: A-10 Conference Schedule Finalized

So after all this hue and cry about the Consol Center and having our own locker room there, we are only playing there twice? Penn State and our annual beat down at the hands of Pitt?

Does this make sense?

Yes, Tejas but we get the Frankie's at the fabulous Johnstown War Memorial venue!

Re: A-10 Conference Schedule Finalized

I don't understand the complaints.  Many have posted in the past years that the Dukes gave up the home court advantage by playing several A-10 conference at the Consol.  So now all of the home A-10 games are at the Palumbo where I believe the Dukes have a better chance of winning and also at filling a higher percentage of the seats than at the Consol.  Perhaps the athletic department read all those comments and adjusted the venue accordingly.  Frankly I see nothing wrong with playing St. Francis at the historic Johnstown War Memorial.

Re: A-10 Conference Schedule Finalized

It depends on who posts, as to whether you see pro or con on Consol. Seems to be a pretty even split of opinion.

I don't think there's any chance of selling out Palumbo this year. Maybe when the new AD has time to make some changes, and Ferry finishes playing with bricks. But you have essentially the same cast as the past three years, plus an unknown in Castro. Nothing to whet the appetite of students, alumni or the city.

As a money maker I guess I can see the Consol as logical when we play a Datyon who will bring 2,000 fans with them.

You can't play teams like SFU home and home. You make them come here 3 times for one home game.

The Dukes beat Dayton at the Consol last year. When the team starts winning, we need to move every game vs a decent opponent out of the high school gym.
