National Signing Day: Atlantic 10

The Dukes have a sneaky class with two perimeter shooters that fit their system very well and an under the radar but sturdy option at the lead guard with Michael Lewis II. It is Isiaha Mike that might be the biggest sleeper commit within the conference as the 6-foot-8 Canadian brings a lively body to the floor along with a perimeter skillset via his outside jumper.

From the same site:

"However, it is hard to not speak on the sharpshooting and deadly duo backcourt at Duquesne with Michah Mason and Derrick Colter, a program that has things headed back in the right direction and should use its foreign tour from the summer in parlaying it into a surprising season within the A10."

Re: National Signing Day: Atlantic 10

See what happens when you beat up on a bunch of 5-10 Irish guys? You become sharpshooters on the rise. Again, let me see how it translates against DI teams.

Re: National Signing Day: Atlantic 10

COULD be interesting to see how things change -  Some of the early "commitments/signings "will never show up on campus (remember the 6'9 player we "reportedly signed" from Louisiana a few years ago Some times it's better to find players who fit your system (whatever ours may be??) classic case of that is Wisconsin football -  each year their recruits probably get ranked about 8th/9th in the Big 10 but they have real solid teams.  Finally wonder how Aaron Jackson and Chase Robinson might have been compared/ranked in the fall -  I'm guessing neither was that HIGHLY sought after - probably had similar numbers/reputations at this point -  Aaron was as good as a player as we've had in the last 15 years Chase was a disappointment. And obviously some schools may be ranked higher due to the numbers they will bring in - others may be lower and it would be due to the number of slots available more than a skill level.

Still was good to see an "Objective Ranking" of ALL the schools in one place.

P-G reports that Dukes' 3 recruits are signed (NLI), sealed, and delivered:

Re: National Signing Day: Atlantic 10

It's ALWAYS good to wrap up your primary targets early. None of the three will be under pressure to "be the goods" as freshmen, given the current depth chart. Of course, if they earn minutes that's a different story.

Good job.
