I didn't see a single post insulting the Dukes. They mostly seemed to enjoy our victory. There were plenty of posts insulting PSU, and one post complaining about Dixon not offering Micah Mason. (LOL). That's funny because that board had a running series of posts complaining about not offering TJ, with half the posters claiming that TJ could never play in the Big East, and the other half arguing the opposite. Of course there's a current post rubbing TJ's NBA status in the face of the naysayers. The board is high comedy. On their football board, one third of the posts always concern Penn State, with at least 2 or 3 insulting the "hoopies".

Ironically, there's a post discussing Orlando Antigua, and his struggles at South Florida. As you know, he was a serious candidate to replace Ron Everhart. His record at South Florida is way worse than what Ferry has done here.

 

Pitt football fans are the worst. They worry more about what penn state is doing than what their own team is doing.

The envy is pitiful. I do follow Pitt football, so I usually will visit the boards during the season, but the amount of PSU threads is just ridiculous. Level heads will call the posters out on this, but they just don't care. During the scandal, 2/3 of the posts concerned Penn State. I'd hate to see us ever fall into that.

Over the last 30 years Pitt has earned the right to mock and ridicule us!  FACT!

That will not change until we win a few games in a row or a "so many out of so many" string!  FACT!

I don't expect us to beat Pitt, but I do expect the game to be competitive!

It's at the point where they don't even mock us anymore. You have to win a few to earn even that amount of attention. The last coach to beat them was DAP. Think about that! It's like the Steelers and the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are just another team now, especially to fans under 40. Even Browns fans now admit that Baltimore is the Steelers main rival, and that Cincy is ahead of them as well. Dead rivalries can reignite though. Pitt/Penn State was dead as a doornail in the early 70's. That changed quickly once Pitt won a few. Duquesne fans didn't used to dislike Bobby Mo. They ain't too popular around here lately.
 

Between Mason and Colter if they get at least 40 points and 10 assists we win this game!
