I said nothing positive about this performance. Worst case scenario in terms of how this game could have started. We look flat, outmatched, and honestly scared for yet another year. It sucks, I know. However I don't see the issue in pointing out a solid individual performance. I don't think competing at an acc level is realistic to this point, so I can accept what is occurring. I am concerned with the season as a whole not one game. Unranked UCLA beat number one Kentucky by ten points yesterday. Based on your logic Kentucky won't be in the tournament this year. Calm down, it's early and its one game

Definitely not ready for the next level. That said, they better shake this off and take care of business vs the soft underbelly of the schedule that is upcoming. While we expected a better performance than this, this was not a game we marked in the win column. The next four are, and we need to win them in order to reach our goals for the season. Shake it off and take care of business!

Humiliated in the first half at this point it's 24-15 dukes in the second half. And yes their starters have been playing. Super terrible start to the game but they play 30. I don't think it's lowering expectations to assume this wouldn't be a definite win. historically lower tier A10 team against recent historical top national program. We're building and their consistent

Bobby Mo is bad this year. Having Reed transfer was as big a blow to them as losing TJ was to us. Toole will get them playing better, but this is their worst team in quite a while.
 

CLK thanks for the kind words on the "Effort" thread. I'm not sure what game some of you gents where watching but let me sum up a few things knowing right now I'm going to upset a lot of you. This starting lineup needs to be totally retooled. James has been outstanding of late a deserves to play more. And here comes the controversy, I understand the love for Colter but he is NOT a point guard. You can not have a point guard with 2 assists. He is not looking to get the ball to others he is looking for his shot. He is undersized as is the entire starting line up. You where out rebounded 40/29, Assists 22/12. Pitt played inside out we should try it sometime. Why does Robinson only get into games in hopeless situations and them when he plays decently he never sees the court again. Lewis should not start another game this year he does NOTHING. Let's get real play the players who deserve the time. Also CLK is on the money Micah bust his ass for every shot and every point!!!!!  No body does a dam thing to get him a shot.

Tejas isn't a troll. There are guys who wait for a loss to post. Tejas isn't one of them. He's actually been pretty positive this season. If this is just a pothole on the road to success, I expect most will remain positive. Win the next 4.

Wow.  That was disappointing.  Playing before a nice crowd (13K) and a national TV audience and the Dukes laid an egg.  I hope the taste stays with them and they learn something from that whipping.  I don't agree with those who believe we don't have the athletes to compete with Pitt - that game should have been closer.  I wonder if we did (as was stated in the press conference) treat it as 'just another game on the schedule'.  Clearly, Pitt didn't.  They were out to make a statement.  A poster on the Pitt board offered that with the supposed trash talking by Duquesne combined with the loss to Purdue, he felt the Dukes were in for a bad night.  Right he was.  Maybe next year we treat it as 'not just another game.'
