Tarin Smith is without a doubt the PG next year and will be playing 35 minutes a game. Castro has little to no impact on next year's PG situation.

QFT.  I was not at all impressed with Castro's six points off the bench.  He looked selfish and extremely slow to me.  As Duq81 said, I expect Lewis to be the backup next season.  I think the 2 guard debate is the better question.  I used to think it would be J. Steel's but now I am starting to think we could see James and Jackson at the 2 and 3 spot.  Jackson seems to have a really nice three point stroke which I have really loved in the past few games.  He and James also rebound well, and they both are rangy defenders.

Hopefully Littleson will be in the mix at the 2 guard next year. I do think he'll have to hit the weight room a little bit first though

Hopefully Littleson isn't in the mix.  You cannot play freshmen for extended minutes in the A10.  You win with developed and developing Juniors and Seniors.

Re: LaSalle - To give a Break to our Colleague Who Starts These

If anyone paid attention to the extended conversation with assistant coach Rick Glesmann on the LaSalle post game show, he discussed the recruits and players available next year.  He identifies both Tarin Smith and Mike Lewis as combo guards.  This was his abbreviated analysis on Smith as I recollect.  Extremely quick and athletic with elevation qualities. Aggressive defender.  Has improved his short and long range shooting abilities.  They may have to insert some alley-oop plays for him as a guard--they have none in place now. Impression:  Immediate starter.  On Lewis same kind of credentials without emphasis on athleticism. Impression:  Lots of minutes. On Littleson, clearly his shooting abilities (3's, 2's and free throws) stand out. Impression:  Replace Micah with  Littleson on limited basis.  Isaiah Mike--in Las Vegas at prep school and little said about him other than he is doing a"as expected". No impression on play time.  Overall impression:  Do not be surprised if James is at the 2 and Jackson is at the 3.  But, I digress.  Back to this year!!!!!!

I didn't mean as a starter, but rather in a bench role

Re: LaSalle - To give a Break to our Colleague Who Starts These

I've thought this for a few weeks now but the fact we are still recruiting 2016's suggests to me that someone will be gone next year. The only person I could see that being is Castro. The staff has been going out and watching guards play, especially shooting guards. I think Castro has been a huge disappointment and that ship has most likely sailed.

I've thought that too. I mean Ferry can't be any more impressed with him than we have in his limited chances.

Yeah and really his performance against Lasalle wasn't really that impressive. Yes he hit two threes but we were already up big in the game. When we emptied our bench they did the same, and the result was already in hand. It wasn't like any real defense was being played at that point. He still looked painfully slow with the ball to get the shot up, and everything he did was so forced. He also literally didn't even look for a teammate for one second. I would invite the opportunity to clear his roster spot for anyone with more upside, which wouldn't take much.
