    Number 19 Safely Tucked Away

    Ladies beat VCU (who was 15-5 going in to the game) 71-67 - Ladies trailed by 2 at half time - had a 26 point third quarter and hung on in the fourth.

    Great win.   They never had a 26 point lead.  I think their largest lead was 8

    VCU gave the Dukes fits inside more than any team except G-W.  Yet, the Dukes managed to pull out that win even with major, major foul trouble.  That is what  well-coached and talented teams do.  Our "bigs" are very good.

    I believe Al meant that the Dukes scored 26 in the third Qtr, not that the ever lead by that many.

    That IS what I meant - a 26 point quarter would translate to a 104 point game - while the time frame was limited - might give the other viewers a picture of how well the offense played  (and with it being the third quarter - would NOT be a case of a ton of free throws down the stretch)
