Offline Ferry has turned around the conference season and has set up a huge home game v Davidson on national television!!!!! Online! Davidson plays at GW on 2-3-16 at 7pm then has to play the Dukes on 2-6-16 at 12:30pm. Not much time to prepare and a lot of traveling in a short time and St. Louis just beat them? The Dukes are off all week and should be well rested. Doesn't guarantee a win, but it's a good time to have a home court advantage. I like our chances here. I doubt they go back to Carolina between games. They can make the short trip from DC after the game, and sleep in on Thursday morning. They'd be well rested by Saturday. If they go back to Carolina, they're dumb as hell. Offline There's no reason why the athletic dept can't get 3500 ppl to this game, if not more.. Anything less would be embarrassing. They are Playing good basketball and have an opportunity to get to 6-4 in the A10 at home where they have only lost once (Micah didn't play) Offline Small problem of Pitt vs Virgina just up the street a bit same time. Besides that tons of other events fall on Saturday morning and afternoon. Never a fan of this time on Saturdays. Never a fan of this time on Saturdays. Agreed. Problem is, you do what the A10 says if you want on national tv. Offline I bought 2 more for this game. I'm taking my neighbor and his 2 boys to their first college basketball game. A win to inspire 2 grade school Dukes fans would be nice. Offline Hope we get a huge crowd! Offline Our fish didn't save Pittsburgh, but he did visit. In the early 2000's, Offline My concern is also that Pitt plays at the same time which will eat into our attendance as far as adults, but it SHOULD NOT eat into attendance as far as our students. They don't come to our games, let alone go see Pitt. This week needs to be an all out bliz by the athletic department, get out of their office and go into the dorms...and more PR from the athletic department...

Re: Get your tickets now
I had bought into the "get your tickets before the general population can" thing to see the first two rounds of the NCAA's at the Civic Arena. This offer was based on my having contributed to the DU basketball program.
My wife and I love Western PA and the Burgh enough to have driven from the New Jersey coast to spend a few days there. Stayed in Washington, mainly because of Angelo's restaurant. We brought our beta fish (Pittsburgh Phil) in his bowl so no one would have to care for him and he would get his feed.
On the second day of the tournament play, having checked out of the hotel, we needed to pack up the fish. With a really cold day going on, he could not be in the car, so we packaged the fish in a jar of water and took him to the game, stuck inside my wife's purse.
The fish saw almost as much as we did, as the "special" seats were awful. However, nearby fans enjoyed the ridiculous spectacle of seeing the fish when my wife displayed him. BTW, the fish lived a long time after this episode.
Well, the "fish" thing triggered this memory.
We are coming back (now from TN) for the first time in years to see the Dukes crush Davidson.
