Well, just got done watching on computer and simply more of the same. We give up a 13 point second half lead. They focus on shutting down Mason and Colter and we have no consistent alternative, don't work the ball for any inside game and have no one else step up. Of course, they were scoring at will going to the basket the last 8 to 10 minutes and of course Mason and Colter didn't come out all game. Steele got in with 2:50 left because EJ made a horrible throw away pass and then Steele promptly hits a 3. I somewhat feel bad for Colter and especially Mason as Ferry has put everything on them, but you need balance and we simply don't have it either with personnel or with our offensive approach. A buddy of mine (GHog) calls Ferry's philosophy AAU and frankly I am inclined to agree. GW showed how you hold a lead at the end of a game as well - smart passes, make foul shots. Teams just completely double Mason and Colter and we look like 2 playing against 5, simply disheartening, but my suspicion was after we blew the Dayton game (yes Jimmy you blew it) the season was going downhill. Ferry's comments kill me, he said something like if there were 2 more buckets the other way we would be 17-8 and not 15-10. Well Jimmy, as Tomlin says, you are what your record says you are and now you are 15-11 and riding a nice 4 games losing streak. I think I've come to accept that for the last many decades we have served our role well and that is to be mediocre to crappy. How else can any other teams be good and at the top, someone has to suck. Not bad, it summed it up fairly well. Ferry can not compete against the coaches in the A10. He is out of his league. Would love to hear Ferry's rationale for Mason and Coulter getting no rest....... None. Pistol my disbelief is that Ferry can be so hardheaded in his beliefs that he refuses to look elsewhere for answers. Once again I will harken back to today's PG article most of which you guys have hit upon in either this or one of the other treads. He is talking about preparing for the A-10 tourney. I said it a thousand times, even if you do pull off a upset how would you ever be able to play 4 games in a row.

Coaches often believe they are speaking over the heads of the fans and make these statements. We aren't total fools. Sell the BS somewhere else step up and accept some of these decisions have been mistakes.
