As with hopefully the Ladies Ticket to the Big Dance is punched - St Bonnie lost last night at Fordham so one of the chief teams the ladies are battling in the A-10 has a little less luster. There is still the slight possibility that the NIT is where they wind up. Gonna miss watching the amazing skill, talent and hustle these three seniors brought to the Dukes. I'm really hoping this was in fact their final home game because otherwise that would mean these ladies are disappointed again with the WNIT consolation prize.

A NICE Home Finale (Hopefully)
A few NICE points about last night - Crowd was a little larger than normal and considering there was NO mention of it (final home game for Superb Senior Class and team that ha been REALLY good) other than the little slot on the schedule of the local teams -- NO mention at all in the Trib Review - Guys were playing at St Bonnie (so some of our fans might have been able to watch THAT at home on the Internet) Pens were playing on the tube -- Pitt was playing Louisville. Crowd included the new School President among others.
Bit of a bummer that Workman fouled out on a charge with 7 plus minutes to go and Coach Burt didn't get the opportunity to "pull her one last time" He DID letter her "run the huddle" once at the end - I sit a few rows behind the bench game was well in hand - she was kind of laughing so hard - don't know what she told the team.
