Offline Yale makes it. First time since 1962. This is how they did it per their coach: Offline I think that there are now 10 teams that have "streaks" like our NCAA drought. Offline Of note: Offline Don't worry, our streak will go on for decades. Offline Don't worry, our streak will go on for decades.

Yale is in! There is hope!
"We do three things," Jones said. "We defend our behind off. We block out and rebound like it's nobody's business. We share the ball. Those three things are what Yale basketball is made of right now."

Re: Yale is in! There is hope!
5 teams that have never been to the tourney - I recall Army, Northwestern, William & Mary.
And 5 with their last appearance before 1977; I recall Rice and Bowling Green.
Maybe somebody has the full list.
Re: Yale is in! There is hope!
Every state, at some point in these 75 years of play, has been represented in the NCAA's. With the exception of two: Alaska, which has no Division I schools, and Maine.
The Northwestern Wildcats remain the lone major conference team that has never made the NCAA tournament.Of the original 120 D1 teams, it's Army, The Citadel, Northwestern. Saint Francis (NY) and William and Mary have never made it.Army made it in 1968 BUT their coach Bobby Knight turned it down to play in the NIT. Why?? Because UCLA had a center named Lew Alcindor and Knight figured he had a better chance of winning the NIT!! They were led by a Polish point guard named Mike Krzyzewski BUT they lost to Notre Dame in the first round...
