a team with DUQUESNE on the front of their jerseys can shoot foul shots, play tough defense, hit threes, look for open cutters and oh yes, not blow a double digit lead. When the other team did cut the lead to four, that team focused, worked hard and then put on a run of their own! They did an absolutely phenomenal job today! And national exposure playing UConn Monday night. Would Dan Burt consider becoming the men's coach? It was on espn 2 in Pittsburgh. Ohio St. is a 3 seed in this tournament. UConn beat them by 44 points, in Columbus! If either ND, Or S. Carolina beat them, it would be an upset on the level of Villanova beating Georgetown, and those are the best teams out there. He is always refreshingly frank & polite with the media, & the national media seems to have taken a liking to him. Yesterday's post-game press conference was interesting. While Burt gave proper respect to UConn, there was also an air about him as if he knows something we don't know. The talent level of UConn and the rest of the number one seeds is miles apart. And the two seeds are a step below that. It's official - Duquesne vs. UConn tomorrow night at 9:00 on ESPN2. I've seen UConn plenty. I've seen Duquesne up close and personal too. April Robinson and Dev'Nyar Workman give us a puncher's chance. My biggest concern is the officiating. Game is on their court, maybe some home cooking for Geno, who knows? I'll stick with my Dukes. I'm with you, El Duque. I forget what coach said this, but when told that his team would always lose to a team with superior talent, he said, "Not if we don't let them shoot." If we play good defense, anything is possible.

Had we been a 7 seed we would really have a Sweet 16 chance. We still do. Upsets happen.
But that doesn't take away from the awesome performance of yesterday. And this great season.
