Re: Posey goes in the Hall

STATEMENT FROM DUQUESNE DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS DAVE HARPER
"Cumberland Posey's induction to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is a wonderful way to cap the 100th season of Duquesne basketball. Mr. Posey played a major role in the growth of the sport and we are proud of his link to our University. To be the first person enshrined in both Springfield and Cooperstown is an amazing accomplishment. We hope the recognition of Cumberland Posey's impact on the game will help pave the way for another great Duquesne trailblazer in Chuck Cooper, who was also an Early African-American Pioneers Committee nominee this year. We look forward to the day Chuck joins Cumberland in the Basketball Hall of Fame."
