Offline I think Dudey Moore was featured on the back of a cereal box once. Duquesne's history before most of our lifetimes was really amazing, led by two coaches and dozens of great players. I have a page from Leading Comics #29 February 1948 in which Chick Davies "Champion Basketball Coach - Duquesne University" is featured in a Wheaties ad that details the 1947 squad that scored 19 straight wins to zoom from pre-season obscurity to top-rank among the nations teams. Offline We all need to come to grips with the fact that it's about seat donations and I'm not talking about a couple of hundred people paying a extra $50 for cushioned seats. What do you think the take is every night there is a full house at the "Pete". And finally some serious donors not 10 or 12. Offline We will find out how good Dave Harper is. Needs to be able to tap into new streams of revenue for this program. If he is unable to accomplish this, it might not really matter who the next coach is if JF is replaced somewhere down the road! If he is unable to accomplish this, it might not really matter who the next coach is if JF is replaced somewhere down the road! In the conversations I've had with Harper, he knows what to do and how to do it. I believe that. Offline I've spoken with him also and believe he is the real deal. Now he needs the ear and support of the "powers that be." Otherwise, his knowledge and skills will not be put to use. Offline I also believe that bringing in Ovie Soko was a bad move. It ate up a scholarship which could have been better used. There is a place for a one and done player but not in the first or second year of a build, IMO. He also gave me the idea that Jim Ferry is 100%, no doubt about it, absolute certainty is the guy to build this program, and I did not get the idea he was just playing politics talking a frustrated alum. If Harper really has drunk the Ferry kool aid then this program is beyond salvageable! I for one am not sticking with the next rebuilding plan stat will start in 2020, after Ferry's ninth failure of a season.
