Rene Castro

I wrote this article on Rene Castro. What are your expectations of him this season?

I don't know what to expect. The leash ought to be fairly short though. There are several options at his position, he needs to hit the ground running. If he struggles like last year, he ought to take the grad transfer option, and try his hand at a low major next year.

In short, I don't like him. I don't like his chances of getting minutes. I think he'll starting riding pine soon enough, but he'll get his chances to prove otherwise early on. But it's not his spot to lose,  he'll have to take it away from someone ahead of him.

I hate myself for loving you. Quoting me without the expressed written consent of the National Hockey League is prohibited.
