Welcome to SHOO-SHOO, RAH-RAH! The Duquesne Dukes Basketball Fan Message Board!
One of America's Great Message Boards - Any Inappropriate Posts Will Be Deleted!
Offline Kentucky opened as 28.5 point favorites over the Dukes. Offline 9pm tip on Sunday. Per KenPom: Offline Although everyone on this board is down, the point spread and win probability noted are quite extreme. I have hopes our guys will play a decent game and not get completely blown out. Of course this can only happen if Ferry uses his bench, and in particular, puts JRob out there. Floor time for EJ would help too. Offline Over/under on points: 40. Offline Well El D I have to say the analogies made me chuckle........... And you are correct Sir! Offline Of course this loss (IF it happens) can ALWAYS be blamed of Darrius "Coaches USUALLY try to provide players with "that one home game in their area" during the four years" Maybe THIS was the BEST they could do. (OUCH) Offline i don't think scoring points will be the problem... Offline Not a chance a Ferry coached team loses by 28 and 1/2 to anybody. It's mathematically impossible. Offline It won't make up for some of the misery Duquesne's long-suffering fans have had to endure the past three or four decades, but it would be nice to see the Dukes throw a mild scare into the heavily-favored Wildcats. Of course, an unexpected miracle in Lexington tonight would be even sweeter. Offline Dukes take the lead!!!! Oh my goodness, Dukes 2, UK 0! Offline This is gonna suck haha. Other than duke, not sure anyone is going to beat this team. They are only going to get better as the year goes on. Offline Castro cannot bring the ball up the court. He doesn't have the handle. Also, perhaps putting in the bigs together might not be such a bad idea? Offline These announcers SUCK big time! The are so occupied bloviating about Kentucky that they rarely mention the name of the Dukes' player who scored or rebounded. It's all about Kentucky! Very unprofessional! Offline Who feeds the announcers the B.S. about Ferry and how he is trying to resurrect a shambles of a program. When the announcers made this statement I thought this is getting sick. This is not about the previous coach, but the record. Offline If Dukes were just an average 3 point team this would be a game. Can't believe a Duquesne team is that bad at threes. Offline Holy hell. We cannot shoot tonight. I know they are MUCH better than us, but we normally make some of these looks. Offline What happened to the Run and Gun dukes? I haven't seen any fast breaks and they are slowing t Hr pace. This is boring to watch and not the strategy to play in my opinion. Offline We really have to shoot the ball better if we are going to have any success this year. Kentucky's defensive pressure and length is something else though. Who feeds the announcers the B.S. about Ferry and how he is trying to resurrect a shambles of a program. When the announcers made this statement I thought this is getting sick. This is not about the previous coach, but the record. Offline Dukes take the lead!!!! Oh my goodness, Dukes 2, UK 0! Offline What has happened to Eric James?? He is a mess. What did Ferry do to his confidence? Offline Dukes take the lead!!!! Oh my goodness, Dukes 2, UK 0! Dino's got to be glad he didn't come here though. Offline Ooh, we're about to be the answer to a trivia question (back to back #1 picks). Offline Dukes take the lead!!!! Oh my goodness, Dukes 2, UK 0! Dino's got to be glad he didn't come here though. Offline Other than the paycheck, why even play this game? How much do we really get out of this?

Re: Game Thread - Kentucky
Much as I like the players, I'm back to zero confidence in the coach. Makes head-shaking decisions, throws his team under the bus after losses, and has yet to show me any ability to think under pressure.
Guys make career highs one night and disappear the next. Guys who start for a season suddenly get kicked to the bench.
Ferry vs. Calipari is Fred Flintstone vs. Stephen Hawking. You'll see four guards trying to keep up with a taller and faster opponent. It will be like watching layup drills vs. the mannequin challenge.
I'm leaning towards the under.

17-13, 21-13, 16-16, 19-13, 16-15 were Everharts last 5 years
8-22, 13-17, 12-19, 17-17, and so far this year a losing record.
It is now that this program is in shambles!

Probably Coach Ferry based upon pre game discussions or introductions to the announcers. Shambles my arse next level coach. Charlie set this program back 10 years after Rons termination or hatchet job by the Quinipiac Clown.Good luck to the new Prez & AD this without a doubt is the lowest point in Duquesne basketball history especially from a fan base interest .

Certainly not as glad as I am, despite everything.
