Sometime I think I think

There once was a thoughtful sports writer in the old Pittsburgh Press who put his random thoughts on paper and use it as a column, his name was Phil Musik ( I think that is how you spell it)

. Dre Marhold would have had a better career with a lower level d-1 program or good d-2 team where his quickness would be an asset and he wouldn't face skilled 6-9 plus centers as he does in the A-10.

. K. Pantofet should be playing 10 min a game only shooting 3's behind screens, I have heard he is a lights out shooter in the gym.

. Our point guard should shoot good shots 10 times a game and keep finding the open man.

. Winters needs to learn how to pass, how about a ball fake once in a while and crisp bounce passes

.Coach Ferry , unlike in the NEC can find few or no weak teams to face, in fact his club is the weak team in a conference that has never been stronger.

. Whining never makes the Coach look good.

It was actually "things I think I think"  Musick died a few years ago.  Loved his Press columns

Re: Sometime I think I think

Panto seems to be, what we call in the music business, a warm-up artist. Once the gig starts, there's nothing much there. I still have hope for him though. Marhold, I kind of feel for. A good kid in the wrong situation. Not his fault.

Re: Sometime I think I think

There are 320 some D1 programs. Duquesne is not even close to near the bottom and could rebound significantly as soon as next year. Let's not get carried away just yet.

His best was when his father died, he brought tears to my eyes.
