It seems the guard play is picking up, Castro has more confidence and his stop and go dribble and dribble drive to the basket is hard to stop.
The adjustment of Blackman and Smith seems to be underway and Mike Lewis II is becoming a dependable off guard that can provide offense.
I still wonder what happened to JAMES, at quick big swing man, maybe he will play himself into a more productive upperclassman as the year goes on.
We all seem to wonder why JRob is unused, and I think Mike will score more if he swings inside and is more particular on his three point attempts.
It is so early in the year to be playing game number ten, maybe a more manageable schedule with time for practices to correct errors will help.
I would hope my predicted 16 wins could be reached, it will take winning all conference games that aren't upsets and stealing several wins and upsets.
The
To reach 16 wins, they need to win the next 4 games, then win at least 8 league games. That would mean at least 6 of 9 at home, plus stealing 2 on the road, probably at St. Louis, plus one more. The league is down this year, so if the Dukes would actually get on a roll, it might not be as far fetched as it seems.

Well, the win Friday made me buy a ticket to this one. Hope it goes well

Same here. Couldn't get anybody to go but I drove 50 minutes and I'm here by myself!

Why are there RMU students on both sides? I know it's their home game, but did they request that Duq students not have a designated area??? So confused

Horrible turnout here. Embarrassing for both teams honestly.

I'm almost embarrassed to watch this. Such terrible basketball.

Down by 4 at half. Not looking good. Sanders is having monster game

Both teams look very sloppy. Ther may be 800 people here

Again we don't kick the ball in to the post and out. Robinson would eat this team alive inside but no minutes. We generate no open shots and their D keeps pushing us further out. Just missed 3 after missed 3. Ferry sucks. We won the Pitt game because Artemis was out. He put Abrahamson in with a bandaged hand and he did nothing.

plus they out hustle us for rebounds and loose balls.

Down 9 another missed 3. Their top player Stiehl has 16.

No Duquesne students that I can tell. No band either.

Sanders best game ever. No Lewis second half. Lewis coming in should be Robinson. Lewis TO

Robinson in. Score tied. Foul shooting horrible. TOs galore.

Our students suck. I'm sorry for anyone on the board who is one currently. You have an impossible task. Students only care for the Pitt game. It's pretty sad that we only care about the OPPONENT we are playing. You would think that the students would have had fun at the Pitt game. Apparently not.
Man, why am I becoming such a curmudgeon as of late? I'm only 32 and my suffering hasn't been nearly as long as most.

A Lane Violation!!! Damn Bumbs, typical Duquesne Dukes

This is probably a good result long term. Beating Pitt is always good, but this keeps it from becoming a reason to keep Ferry around.

That is at least some solace 81, and hopefully correct.

Pitiful. Disgusting. What a sh#t show! Ferry is toast--after they let him coach to the end of his contract--no way they eat $670K. There is no use in watching this mess until 2018.

Ferry's done. Beating Pitt was the real nail in the coffin. Didn't see the first half but Blackman couldn't do much right in the 2nd.

Oh, I forgot "total embarassment".

This team's basketball IQ is really low. So many stupid turnovers, missed layups and defensive lapses. Look just about assured it will be a losing season. The best we can do in the non con is 7 wins, and that is not a sure thing. The only question in my mind is will this team win this team win more than 12 games (more than 5 conference wins), and will Ferry survive.

This is a big game for the Dukes to continue the momentum and keep the student interest and pride going. RMU has been promoting this game hard to their fan base for the last two weeks. Free tickets to their students and a 50% discount on tickets for their fans. What are the marketing and AD folks at Duquesne doing for their students and fans???
NOTHING my friend fire Ferry does not solve the problem. As I predict the new AD gone by 2022 due to inactions. Ground Hogs Day The Movie....Phil will move from Punxy to Old Main. If you think a new coach will get alumni students and DU fans back your dilutional my friends.

Other than the enjoyment of beating Pitt, this cancels that win out. The last 4 coaches to beat Pitt were fired at the end of the year. That trend will continue.
Who are the up and coming coaches that might make a pit stop here for the money we pay? Maybe Toole? The guy from UMBC? Maybe lower ourselves and give Mike Rice a call? Al Skinner? Mike Jarvis? Tom Penders? John Chaney? Ed Dechellis? World Wide Wes? Is Gale Catlett still living?
