I attended  the Dukes game at Mason a few years ago, and they have a much larger and more impressive facility than Duquesne.  I was very impressed.  Their team was pretty bad then and they lost by a pretty wide margin to the Dukes.  Your point is still valid though that it can be done with the right facilities, support and coaching.  If we do hire another coach, please don't hire another guy that wants to play up tempo but is stumped by a he half court game. 
Again, I was very impressed with the UMBC offense, they just played beautiful basketball, so refreshing to watch but painful because it's something we can't have at Duquesne.

81 for some reason that is a black hole for coaches and that would have been a really interesting hire. I've been to Mason several times and didn't find the facility to be impressive but that just my opinion. It is bigger not sure how much.

I think they will, but they will still finish near the bottom of the A-10 and will still need a basketball coach who can coach in this league.  My question isn't if they will win 3 games but is
"Will Duquesne retain Ferry for next year?"

If they really care about the program, they will look for a better coach.

Is anyone aware of any stipulation in our arrangement with the A-10 that says something like if you do not achieve an RPI threshold of ______ in ______ consecutive seasons you will be bounced. Or how about if your game attendance does not average more than ______ for ______ consecutive years, you will be bounced? Thanks in advance.

i don't have a straight up answer, and I think it would be a little deeper and more complicated than that, but this is relevant.

We aren't dropping down to a lower conference. There's as much of a chance of that happening as Harper bringing Ron back.

Besides the facts they should bring back Ron the current line of BS is WIN and everything will solve this all time low point in the program. Poor marketing, sponsorship, alumni relations, student involvement, same old same old no new ideas & NO CHANGE this program is toast my friends. Yeah if I win the power ball I would be a millionaire "No S$$t!" Let's face it over 50 we all grew up following the Dukes. Under 50 never was there an interest except for the students who were on the bluff during Rons tenure.IEven if this train wreck is turned around the majority of the season ticket holders are done! Maybe a phone call to the Pitt AD who brought back the disenfranchised Pederson haters within 3 months of his tenure. Hard work & change is the answer.

The lynch mob is forming for the new AD at Pitt as we speak. He is being blamed for running off Dixon, and hiring a bum in Kevin Stallings. He gets no credit for Narduzzi, as he didn't hire him. Losing equals empty seats in most places, as Pitt's shrinking basketball crowds illustrate. The Penguins bandwagon is full now, but the Arena was a ghost town a dozen years ago.
