I'm at the women's game. Easily the biggest crowd at Palumbo this season. Only one concession stand is open. Based from what I see on the webcasts, this crowd doubles the biggest crowd of the men's team. Last edited by duqkurt (12/21/2016 8:33 pm) While I'm complaining, does Duquesne even have coaches radio shows for Burt and Ferry. Not that I want to listen to Ferry. Offline Not to be smart...but I hope you email the AD on your thoughts about this. I have emailed him and he is probably getting sick of me or thinking it is only my opinion. I want to say its Tuesday nights at the Red Ring. Last edited by yak-rbc (12/22/2016 9:51 am) Offline I'm at the women's game. Easily the biggest crowd at Palumbo this season. That is ridiculous, seriously, unless they are renovating the stand, or some other good reason it really makes no sense. Why not at least open the main stand and keep the other one closed? I emailed. The dog ate my homework excuse. El Duque in another thread identified the problem. Same people in the positions. No accountability. Jobs for life. Offline I told you guys I tried to use a credit card last year at Palumbo, and the girl said "sorry we don't accept cards" like wtf!? Offline This was going on since Palumbo was opened, in the early 1990's I worked down town and went to game when doors opened about 6 pm, I could not even buy a cup of coffee, was told they don't make it there, I pointed to the bun coffee maker and said " yes you do, just make a pot", the girl said " we are not selling it tonight." I told you guys I tried to use a credit card last year at Palumbo, and the girl said "sorry we don't accept cards" like wtf!? They don't deal with fads like debit or credit cards. Lol.
A mess.
The stands at the main gate aren't open. Just the small one near the pep band.
Apparently, Duquesne is just losing any interest at all in sports. They don't need stinking concession money.

For Burt, I don't think so, but for a women's coach in a small school he gets on The Fan a lot. I think him and Paul Zeise have a friendship or personal bond. I imagine he'll be on there again before the game against the team down the street.
I hate myself for loving you. Quoting me without the expressed written consent of the National Hockey League is prohibited.

I watched as people walked away from the line at halftime. If you are only going to open one stand why wasn't it at the main gate?

Only one difference. Amodio ignored people. Harper responds. But nothing changes. High school programs are run better.
They should fire everyone there and let high school band parents run the show. I guarantee the concession stand would have been open. •Thread Starter

The Arena wasn't great but at least the concession stands were operating.
I agree about the same people still being there, they must be city employees moonlighting.
A diehard fan since 1961
