Won another A 10 Rookie of Week award. Rookies are collecting awards but not sure what else. Last edited by lilpav30 (12/27/2016 2:15 am) We have three solid players in Smith, Lewis and Mile. I am pretty confident that littleson will be a very solid player by the end of his career here. Yeah that's great. I hope the schools that they transfer to after winning 10 games this year appreciate them This is great the early success of two freshman, and as they win awards while learning to finish out games with a win. Damian Saunders? A Fordham win would be a great way to open league play. I would expect a very tough game on their court. While the Rams have not set the world on fire either, they have the home advantage and I'm wondering if we are mentally tough enough to play a strong 40 minutes there. Would probably need a great scoring game from someone to pull a win out. Not giving up! While Saunders was a real successful find, he never could develop a shot and relied on quickness and had a nose for the ball and grabbed a ton of rebounds and could score fron 10-12 ft range. His shot blocking skill and ability to steal the ball almost at will made him a dangerous player. Damian Saunders? That was my first thought, I'd put Ovie Soko in that mix too even though he was just a one year guy. This forum is hosted for free by Boardhost. Create your own free forum!

Re: I Mike
Perhaps those early season disappointments with last second losses can be over come.
The last power forward with legitment size that had the talent of Mike was another Canadian, Wayne Smith who could score on anyone, he was on poor teams. This team may surprise us with our Smith getting his game tuned with good legs and basketball sense, what's that I read about a Jersey guard, I think it is true.
Let's pick up a win with Fordam....

Re: I Mike
He did well in the NBDL type leagues but not an NBA caliber player.
I look at Mike as becoming more skilled in a 25 ft in game, these two are different type of players, although I would love to have a Damian type player on any Dukes team.
