I realize we play Temple on Thursday, but I count that as a sure loss. So I am focusing on Rhode Island, and this will be our first league win. RI has actually played better than us in the league, with a win over St. Louis, a 2 point loss to GW and 3 point losses to Richmond and Fordham. But at some point this year we are going to put things together and Saturday will be the day. The Rams will come in cocky and unfocused. Sean Johnson will come off the bench, make crucial steals and driving layups, and lead us to the victory we so sorely need. Afterward there will be a long and raucous celebration of Duquesne basketball at Shales. Duquesne men nudge learning curveFebruary 11, 2013 12:25 am I would pay $100 just to see bobby hurley As someone who covers the A-10, I hope for your sake that the Dukes do win a game. It was heartbreaking to see them lose on Saturday after building that nice lead against Xavier. Forgot to mention: Don't discount the St. Bonaventure game, either. The Bonnies have a Swiss cheese defense and become very beatable if the 3-point shot is not falling. Number of wins not important at this juncture but a win is always better than a loss. Here's hoping for a couple more before the closing curtain. There should definitely be more wins on next season's horizon. Soko and Watkins next year along with whomever else and the returnees should be an upgrade. Let'a keep grinding and battling. Go Dukes! I also think the Dukes will win at least 1 league game. Not because we beat another team, but rather because they lose to us. Good point! Take 'em anyway we can get 'em! Let me be the first to say that I am happy to have been wrong about the Temple game. I like my crow with brown sugar sprinkled on top! Cooker: just glad that the title of your post became reality on the first try.
