Had to be a good effort by the Dukes tonight with both Freshmen and Blackman scoring over 20 points each; they just need to defend better as a team.

I say this because despite the fact that many posters question, or have given up on the coaches; we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that the players are still working hard and trying their best.  Don't give up in the players; they give their best effort.

Indeed.

Re: Richmond Game Thread

Levon as a matter of fact they will give SO much in several weeks they will be out of gas. Ferry is back to shrinking the bench to the point that what he sees as his 5 most trusted players play 35+ minute stints. Consider the fact that two of those players, Mike & Lewis could hit the wall sooner given the length of the college season. This didn't work very well last year despite those who felt Colter & Mason could run forever.
Oh, I forgot this is the same guy who will then throw them under the bus for being deficient at something you name it. BTW at some point in the off season a great discussion would be the 3 coaches in Pittsburgh hoops all taking the adversarial role with their teams?

W.R.T. Coaches throwing players under the bus: clearly the tactic of a failed coach. That's why Ferry is the leader of this movement.

Re: Richmond Game Thread

It could just be  faulty memory on my part but I do not recall our prior head coach ever discussing his players faults publicly. My impression of that coach was that he was too classy for that sort of thing. I'm certain that someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Richmond Game Thread

I know I use FGCU a lot as example but here goes, FGCU goes to University of North Florida , both are tied for first place in Atlantic Sun Conference. FGCU wins by 6, on the road. UNF coach comments, " this one is on me, I didn't make the necessary changes by putting in the right players to correct the matchup problems, this loss is on me"

Who would you rather play for, him or "small  time"?
