Tom Moore was fired after 10 years with a 162-146 record (.526), including 106-79 (.573) in conference play. He's won 20 games three times, taken his team to the NIT, CIT (twice) and CBI, had a winning conference record seven consecutive seasons, and finished at or above .500 six times. On the downside, he's had two consecutive single digit, losing seasons, and three consecutive seasons with a sub-.500 conference record. Greg, we have a candidate for you! Greg, we have a candidate for you! Keith Dambrot? No. Amodio will have no problem - he did such a great job at Duquesne bringing in the current coach. Maybe Moore should give Ron a call. I'm sure they'd have a great time together comparing notes. The Quinnipiac Clown has convinced another president to pull the trigger on the men's BB coach. Amazing the entire NCAA men's basketball community knows of his stellar reputation as an AD. Next step destroy the hockey program. Can't believe the clown was hired after Duquesne. 14th place a-10 tourney in Pittsburgh great job The Quinnipiac Clown has convinced another president to pull the trigger on the men's BB coach. Can't believe the clown was hired after Duquesne. 14th place a-10 tourney in Pittsburgh great job Hey, if Ron had declined to the point where he had 3 straight losing seasons, with the last two single digit wins, there wouldn't have been much controversy when he was fired. Ron hadn't had any losing seasons since his first, that's why folks were pissed. No comparison between the two firings. Stringing together single digit win seasons gets you fired everywhere. An article in the NY Post about Mike Rice, Jr. says he and Ferry are candidates for the coaching job at Quinnipiac. Amodio can't even get away with hiring Ferry for this one - What are you going to tell the board...yes, I want to hire a guy who hasn't had a winning record in 5 years! I do think he would do better in that league...he is overmatched in the A-10. This forum is hosted for free by Boardhost. Create your own free forum!
