Offline I would love to see the Dukes get his teammate Duane Notice, along with Jon Severe. Go Dukes! I'd love to see either one of those guys, but I have a hard time imagining both committing. I have a feeling its going to be one or the other. If we got Notice, it would be pretty crazy to think that our entire recruiting class is made up of Canadians. Severe would be pretty awesome because it would get us into the NY recruiting scene. Either way, I'd be stoked to get either guy. Offline Sounds like a banger. This guy looks like the mobile wide body we need. I have seen this kid listed between 6'7" and 6'9". Probably means he's 6'8". If we can get Severe or Notice, this would be the best class in maybe 35 years. Offline Here is another video. Nice form on his free throws. Offline I saw Jordan at the Xavier game and he looks like he is legitimate 6'7" to 6'8" with plenty of girth to battle under the boards, just what we need after years of our slender bigs getting muscled inside. That is about to stop in a big way!. Good to hear that Isaiah was busy working on Jordan to join him at Duquesne. Now we need them both to work on Severe and Notice. That would make an outstanding group to compliment our returning players and Ovie. Things could improve in a hurry. Offline Can you imagine how nice it will be with Ovie, Watkins, and Robinson. All three are around 6'8" and no lighter than 220lbs. Remember Damian was only about 6'7" and 210lbs and averaged about 11 rebounds his junior year, so now we can have the three of them eat up about 25 rebounds total on average between all of them on a consistent basis. Anything over that is wonderful. Offline Now that's some good news after a hard days work. Hope Notice is tight enough with Watkins and Robinson that he wants to join them. Offline Great, another 6 7 "big man." Can't wait to see his shots swatted away by the 6 10 wide bodies Xavier will have in the lane. Offline No worries - they won't be swatting anything vs. Duquesne - they will be in the Basketball League with the really good teams and our former AD. How about us getting the Robert Morris AD? Last edited by FAM (3/01/2013 6:28 am) Offline Isn't ANY news good enough around here? Come on guys! Why do you even bother getting out of bed in the morning. Negativity never brings anything but more of the same. God bless. Offline Great, another 6 7 "big man." Can't wait to see his shots swatted away by the 6 10 wide bodies Xavier will have in the lane. I remember when our hated Pgh team, Pitt signed that 6-7 wide body from Schenley High, that Dejuan Blair really got swatted by the big east centers and then the NBA centers, that short player. Offline PG Article Offline Welcome aboard Jordan! Work on your foul shooting please Offline From The Recruit Scoop: Offline It's good to see everyone is not doom and gloom. This is an opportunity for a couple of schools to step up and become powers in the league. Three years from now, we may be reading that the A10 is powerful, because they have Duquesne, LaSalle, and Rhode Island. Wouldn't that be great? Offline It's good to see everyone is not doom and gloom. This is an opportunity for a couple of schools to step up and become powers in the league. Three years from now, we may be reading that the A10 is powerful, because they have Duquesne, LaSalle, and Rhode Island. Wouldn't that be great? and remember Dukes have a one year player in Sokol (sp) who could really impact, remember what the kid from Notre Dame did for JC, avg about 28, and the other four freshman may really improve, especially Binney and his D and ability to score in key situations. I am more hopeful than a month ago. Offline I feel pretty good about our future with Robinson in the fold. We still need at least one solid guard who can impact (Duane Notice?). If that happens, it will have been an outstanding recruiting class no matter what. See you Wednesday night in Sec B2. Will someone please remind me of the spring signing dates.
Jordan Robinson commits to DU
Alex Kline@TheRecruitScoopDuquesne has landed a commitment from 2013 Quality Education (NC) PF Jordan Robinson, his coach said
Jordan Robinson – Quality Education (Winston-Salem, NC)
In a world where big men are hard to come by, Robinson is one of the better ones available in the area. He’s 6’7 with a developing skillset and knows how to stick to his bread and butter: bodying people down low. Robinson has good hands, rebounds his position, guards his man, and isn’t afraid of contact. He has a great nose for the ball and knows how to use his body to move people for establishing post and rebounding position. His motor makes him even more attractive, and he should find a home with a low to mid-level division one program.

Just wanted to make a quick note. The video you posted is of a different Jordan Robinson. Here is a link to our Jordan Robinson against Huntington Prep. The guy he is matched up against is heading to Arkansas.

I also like what I see from Ryan Luther from Hampton, a target for next year; good size at 6'7" but mobile with a nice 3-point shot, smart player who will get stronger and create all kinds of matchup problems for opponents. It's between us and Dayton at this point, but I expect he will have more offers for us to battle with down the road.

Re: Jordan Robinson commits to DU
He certainly has done well there in Men's Basketball and Hockey - Hey, how about us getting the Assistant AD from Xavier, to come here who wanted the job there - we never tried that before (:

VCU, Duquesne Land Quality Commitments
As Butler and Xavier plan to leave the Atlantic-10 for the "Catholic-7" next year, the A10 remains one of the top up-and-coming conferences in the nation. Duquesne and VCU, who are on different levels within the conference right now, landed key commitments this week.
Earlier in the week, the Dukes added a pledge from 2013 Quality Education (NC) power forward Jordan Robinson. The Canadian is an AAU teammate of another Duquesne pledge in Isaiah Watkins. As they continue to reel in talent from Toronto, their niche will continue as they look to land more from the area, including 2013 combo guard Duane Notice out of St. Thomas More (CT).
"It's a tremendous fit for Jordan," Quality Education (NC) coach Isaac Pitts told Rivals.com by phone. "He will have a fantastic career there and made the right decision."
