This is the PGs announcement of Dambrot hiring, any one else have issues with the headline?

Same ass clown that wrote the satire article yesterday.

Every sentence was either a direct or veiled shot at him and us.

i saw that too. what an @$$clown this guy is. He has nothing productive and relevant so about Duquesne. Sam Werner actually had a nice piece about buy games either today or yesterday, it's not like every guy at the PG is inept

I also have an issue with the local press bringing up old garbage like this article. Articles and reporters like this is why the PG is failing financially. Gentile & Zeise are arrogant little punks, they probably got their ass kicked regularly in high school.

I want to say, "Wow, just wow", but honestly I'm not the least bit surprised. I was reading about that whole saga last night and figured if Duquesne hires this guy, the PG will likely dredge this up and sure enough, right off the bat, in the headline no less, a 25-year-old non-scandal that was dismissed ages ago. OK, I just read the story. He's actually suggesting that Duquesne could only hire a flawed coach and this is Dambrot's big flaw that's held him back from better jobs all these years. Is there a facepalm emoji on here?

Not Gentille. The sports editor is Tyler Batiste who is from Louisiana and graduated from LSU.
He is 30 years old.
Also, Mike Sanserino is another sports editor.
These two are the ones to blame. They approve or disapprove all the stories.

Any reporter that lower's themselves to using clickbait style headlines, the kind that you might find on BuzzFeed or the fake news articles that pay to be on other sites (e.g. "Drivers in PA had no idea about this trick for cheap car insurance!"), to drive article views is not worth anyone's time.

Lots of RT's and Favorites on those tweets promoting the article.... as in PG affiliated employees.

They have no news to report, they were nowhere to be found on anything related to this search but writing nonsense about a "coach" that is a college basketball blogger. I flipped through the PG at the stand waiting for a coffee and you had to find the sports section in the middle of the fold and a bigger story on how a "lack of depth plagued Kevin Stallings this season." It is more or less a click bait blog that they want you to pay for behind a paywall. Pass.

PG coverage of this whole search has been awful. Nothing but potshots, terrible comments and headlines and when Duquesne DOES make a fantastic hire just more of the same to try to get laughs from Pitt readers. Even worse is all the PG writers just RT'ing the garbage out to all their followers.

Absolutely ridiculous.

I think this Sean Genital clown wants to be Stu Gotz or whatever. Second PG writer to use Wikipedia as a source (Zeise was the first clown to do it). I can't imagine any of the journalists with whom I interact on a daily basis ever stooping to that level.

You are sending the right message Levon. Let the PG die the death that's coming.

I don't want to give much attention to a ridiculous Headline by Gentile, so I will make this brief. Any time you see an article by him, just don't read it. His headline missed the entire new coaching arrival, what it means, etc. Obviously, he isn't a very perceptive writer. So when you see his by-line, Don't comment on it, don't read it. etc. With the internet and literally thousands of articles and bloggers folks can read information about almost anything. Just don't read his...enough said.

"heels" thanks for the link, great article and accurate about Duquesne , I am lucky to be blocked from the on line PG so I don't read the negative stories since I won't pay them for their drivel.

What I liked about the Gorman article: Coach Dambrot has "like a thousand plays that he runs."

I don't think Gentille's piece was all that bad. Face it, the question was going to be raised. I think he raised it, and put it to bed as well. It is obvious what happened. Let's not waste time and emotion even discussing something that should never have mattered any further.

I am thrilled that Coach Dambrot is part of the our family. Go Dukes!

Unreal. Days after the hire, and on the same day as the presser, I looked on the PG website and saw the latest titled article - "Akron Zips reporter dishes on new Duquesne coach Keith Dambrot".

These guys really know how to celebrate. I didn't read the article. I was too disgusted.
