Unfortunately for me, I have a conference call that begins at 5:30. I'm hoping the YouTube version stays up for on-demand viewing.

Would love a reporter (Zach or whoever DK sends) to ask:
1. What can you tell us about the rumors that were circulating on social media about who was being offered?
2. Given Coach Dambrot turned DU down 5 years ago, how did the hiring come about? Who approached who?
3. What's the truth behind the rumors about the Palumbo upgrade? Where does it stand?
4. We keep hearing about Duquesne being committed to winning. What does DU mean by investment, and what does it mean by winning (specifically)?
5. Status on the Mike & Mike Show?

Yes, it is open to the public at the Lexus Club of PPG Paints Arena. Doors open at 6.

Based on what has already been reported. There is still some fundraising regarding #3 that still needs done but definitely appears to be a high priority. Concerning #4 Duquesne wants to build to middle of the pack in a couple of years and then become key players towards top of the conference. Harper wants Mike squared to meet with the coaches and have genuine conversations before making their decision.

I would have loved to be there. I live in NJ and got stuck with a conference call that starts at 5:30 p.m., so I won't even get to see it live. But I plan to get to a game at Palumbo this year (hopefully a weekend when I can see both MBB and WBB), and if someone doesn't have you covering the Steelers, the NBA, or something else I'd like to shake your hand and thank you for fair coverage.

And also meet some of the board regulars myself.

RE: #3, I was at the reception for President Gormly in Houston last night and he mentioned the fundraising and seeking financing for it as part of his talk.

A more detailed report will be forthcoming when I get the time today.

Tejas, just out of curiosity, is there a sizable alumni base in Houston? It surprises me that they would have an alumni event there?

I am making the 3 hour drive over to Pittsburgh to soak up this monumental occasion and I am going to breathe in this celebration,bask in the hire of a coach who is going to reenenergize and change the
culture at Duquesne.My expectation is Gormley,Harper and Dambrot march together as one with a single purpose and students ,alumni and plain folks like myself march with them in perfect cadence into a glorius
new era.

Somebody brought up George C Patton on this board and I loved that movie and his fighting spirit,Bluffite fans will never accept a loser,we will never hold a position of mediocrity,we will always move forward and
take our fight toward any opponent we face.Will it be easy,no,but nothing worthwhile is ever easy.

We have alumni all over and apparently there is. There were about 40 there last night. One of the things Gormly is trying to do, is reach out to the out of state alumni and start building our national reputation. He was in Dallas two days before.

So that looks like the one on the corner that when you walk into you either go up stairs or escalator right away? The one that you run into if your coming down the hill from campus straight down from the bookstore?

And I've seen six and six thirty mentioned. Is it doors open at 6 at presser starts at 6:30?

Wow, Dambrot is going to turn this thing around. I'd say 250-400 in the room it was hard to tell because the room was huge but it was packed.

Haven't been this excited about DU basketball since the A10 championship gave vs Temple. Really enjoyed watching.
